Contraindications
There are some cases where Sports/Swedish/Pregnancy Massage is contraindicated. It is essential that you go over them before booking your treatment:
- Fever
- Acute injuries in the area to treat
- Severe inflammation
- Infectious skin conditions
- Infectious illnesses
- Open wounds or skin infections
- Recent surgeries (medical clearance is required)
- Pregnancy
- Blood Clot Risk-DVT and/or varicose veins
- Severe heart conditions
- Cancer (medical clearance is required)
- Medication that increases the risk of bruising or bleeding
- PREGNANCY MASSAGE:
- High risk pregnancy
- Placenta related issues
- Blood-clotting disorders
- Severe morning sickness
- Afcominal pain or bleeding
- Recent surgery or injury -

* Remember: In case of doubt, ask your GP if your condition can be detrimentally affected by Sports/Swedish Massage.
Although not a contraindication, given the nature of my business, I will not be able to carry out treatments in a house where occupants consume tobacco products. Vapers and electronic cigarettes are fine.
